As far as casual restaurant appetizers are concerned, nothing remotely comes close to topping Outback Steakhouse's Bloomin' Onion -- especially when it comes to calories and total grams of fat. But just when you thought the famous fried onion bouquets couldn't get any better (or, uh, worse?), Outback has revealed an all-new version and you'll probably gain 30lbs just reading about it.
It's aptly dubbed the the Loaded Bloomin’ Onion, and it'll begin crippling America with big, greasy food comas when it lands at your local Outback restaurant on June 21st. Outback said the limited-time dish is made by taking one of its signature Bloomin' Onions and topping it with fries, melted monterey jack, cheddar, and chopped bacon. It comes served with the signature spicy "bloom sauce" and spicy ranch dressing. Well, damn.
We did the unthinkable and asked an Outback Steakhouse spokesperson for the calorie count on this thing, but we have yet to hear back. Then again, it's probably best not knowing, right?
