Earlier this week, the company behind Pokémon Go took a lot of heat from players for releasing an update that, among many other changes, removed the game's merciful Battery Saver mode. Now, just days later, Niantic Labs is promising to fix and reinstate the feature -- and soon.
The company posted a statement/update/progress report on Facebook on Wednesday night, announcing the launch of Pokémon Go in Latin American countries (including Brazil for the Olympics), revealing that some players had indeed captured Legendary Pokémon, and pledging a Battery Saver mode fix for iPhone users is on the way.
"We have been hearing the feedback loud and clear about the removal of the Battery Saver mode on iOS devices," the company said. "We had removed this feature as several users were experiencing it to be buggy, but we are fairly confident that a fix for this should roll out within the next several days."
