Quick, Use This 'Pokémon Go' Cheat for Unlimited Incense and Lucky Eggs Before It Gets Fixed

Pokémon Go

There are a lot of useful Pokémon Go cheats out there, including maps that will take you right to the Pokémon you're looking for. However, this one is pretty great and gives you some bonus time with Incense and Lucky Eggs to help make you the Mister Miyagi of your team.

Those two items are the best way to quickly advance your trainer to higher levels. If you're new to the game, Incense attracts Pokémon to your location instead of making you go hunt them out and Lucky Eggs double all XP earned in the next 30 minutes. They're both hard to acquire unless you buy them with real money and that's a ridiculous thing to do if you don't have to.

This cheat will help you make the most of the Incense and Lucky Eggs you do have.

1.Use your Incense or Lucky Egg (or both) as normal.

2. Leave the Pokémon Go app. On either iOS or Android, navigate to your phone's settings.

3. Go into Time and Date and turn off the automatic time and date setting. Then turn back the clock up to 30 minutes, not more.

4. When you re-open the game, you'll see in the upper right-hand corner that the countdown has increased from 30 minutes to up to 60 minutes. It won't work for more than that, so don't set your clock back more than 30 minutes.

The only quibble with the hack — besides that it will probably be fixed soon — is that some are saying despite the appearance of additional time on the screen, your Lucky Egg will still only work for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, many others are reporting that the hack is working just fine for them.

Still, others are saying that the discrepancy is that Lucky Eggs only work for the allotted 30 minutes, but the Incense will keep going beyond the original 30 minutes. That's a little harder to detect since there isn't a set rate at which Incense attracts Pokémon. The swirling purple fog around your character does continue to be present beyond the original 30 minutes, though. Either way, it can't hurt to give it a try and become your neighborhood's Pokémaster.

Just remember to set your clock back to automatic before you go to bed. "I was cheating at Pokémon Go" isn't an excuse most employers understand.
