Porn Stars Answer: Is Porn Harmful to Couples?

With the right person, a little healthy communication, and an HD screen, watching porn as a couple can be even better than, well, watching porn alone. But will porn mess up your relationship?

"It depends how couple's treat porn," says porn star Mick Blue, which is an idea echoed by almost every star when asked by Wood Rocket, "Is porn harmful to couples?" Basically, if you're open-minded, in agreement, and both participating, porn is just a mutually beneficial, erotic path to sexual discovery. Or so porn stars say. Also, don't ignore your partner in favor of an HD screen.

Rain DeGray does admit that porn may "foster insecurities" when people start treating it as an actual depiction of real life. She points out that porn stars are more like "stunt people" or "Olympic athletes" and should be viewed as such. You don't get all up in your head when you can't run a 100 meters as fast as Usain Bolt, right? Keep your expectations in the realm of reality with porn as well and you'll be fine.

Here's to communication. And watching porn together.
