If you've ever gone out drinking only to realize the next day that you left your credit card at the bar, you probably shouldn't sweat it (in most cases). But if you go out drinking only to realize the next day that you lost your damn pants, well, that's certainly cause for concern (and probably new pants, priorities).

That is, unless you're Andy Gaudry of Ottawa, Canada. During a recent trip to Halifax for his grandma's 80th birthday celebration, Gaudry said he spent the night out drinking with his cousins, and somehow (he doesn't remember) lost his chinos -- containing his wallet and phone -- on his way back to his hotel. But according to a report by CBC, it turns out he managed to track down his missing pants -- with the help of Reddit.

Although Gaudry kept his shoes and underwear on, he was unable to locate his pants the next day, despite asking hotel staff to review security footage in case it contained any clues.

"They checked the tape and I did indeed have no pants on coming into the hotel -- so I was roaming around the hotel with no pants on," he told CBC. "Hot pink underwear to boot, so you'd really be able to notice me."

He later turned to Reddit for help in his quest to find the pants, saying "any guidance would be greatly appreciated." Fortunately for him, the Reddit thread provided more than just guidance, but word that the Marriott hotel had ultimately found his charcoal chinos, his wallet, and his phone. Here they are, via a post on Twitter:

"That's incredible thank you so much!" he said in a later reply on the thread. "Just got off the phone with [the hotel]." The pants, according to the Reddit comment, were found on Lower Water Street, which is very close to the hotel. Mystery solved.

Well, sort of. It's still unclear why Gaudry took his pants off in the first place. Halifax must be a helluva town.
