If first class just isn't posh enough for you, well, you're in luck. Now you can sit above the commoners in coach and first class in seats on top of the plane.
Apparently, this is not a joke. Aerospace engineers Windspeed Technologies have designed new SkyDeck technology, allowing those laden with lots of cash to sit on top of the plane. These new SkyDeck seats can be elevated from the cabin to the sky, and then rotate for a 360-degree view. When up on top, seats will be covered by a high-strength canopy made of the same material used in the canopies of supersonic fighter jets. Windspeed Tech promises this clear canopy will protect passengers from all the elements, like bird crap, and other more serious things. Of course, the idea here is that these seats will provide a way better view than the typical window seat, and that people will dish out a lot of cash for that view.
The design details are done and now Windspeed is just waiting on the patent and copyright for this insane project. So if being on top is your thing, you can start saving for SkyDeck tickets now. Or just check out the conceptualized video below to grasp the ridiculous experience for free.
