You shouldn't be too confused about what's going to happen on May 28 for National Burger Day. People are going to eat burgers, kind of like every other day of the year. Also, restaurants will offer deals luring you to their burgers like Sirens calling to Odysseus. Only, instead of luring you to your death, they're just luring you to, you know, lunch.

Smashburger is offering a Burger Day deal for something more than your standard fast food burger. The beef-slinging chain's new Smoked Bacon Brisket Burger is being offered to honor the gods of National Burger Day. Gather up a friend for takeout, because if you order one Smoked Bacon Brisket Burger (starts at $8.99), you'll get a second one for just a buck. That's a whole lot of meat for a dollar, but you can only get it on May 28.

The just-released menu item is constructed with Angus beef, brisket smoked for 10 hours, applewood smoked bacon, and aged cheddar on a brioche bun.

It might not be Memorial Day weekend any longer, but that doesn't mean you're going to be forced to say you've had your fill of smoked meats. You can have smoked meats. You can have all the smoked meats if you want.
