From PSLs in the fall to Gingerbread Lattes in the winter, Starbucks makes it crazy easy to drop $5 so you can feel like you're sipping the season. And now, the coffee giant has you covered for the start of spring with a new, limited edition beverage: the Cherry Blossom Frappuccino.
Starbucks said the super-sweet beverage is a blend of strawberries and cream, white chocolate sauce, and matcha drizzle topped with whipped cream and more matcha, or as they put it, "spring in a cup." And just like spring, the new Frappuccino is fleeting -- available at Starbucks stores across the country only from March 15th through March 20th, the first day of the season. In case you were wondering, the Cherry Blossom Frappuccino does not contain coffee.
As Starbucks explains in a press release, the new Frappuccino was inspired by the pink cherry blossoms that symbolize the start of spring in Japan and is similar to the Sakura Blossom & Strawberry Frappuccino it has served in the island nation since 2010. Now, if only the weather would cooperate...
