Sweaty days sipping drinks in the grass are back, even if they're looking a little different this year. Loads of sun-loving revelers are looking forward to the reunion of their mouth and their favorite summer refreshment, maybe a hard seltzer or a shandy

If those drinks offer no harbor for your summer cravings, there are beer brands hoping they've got solutions for your woes with new releases like the beer and seltzer mix Spritzen. Add to the list of new options the Solstice Lager from Stella Artois. Instead of targeting summery sweetness, the familiar green-bottle beer brand is putting out a crisp golden lager with "citrus essences." And while it's not being marketed as a low-calorie beer, it fits with the trend of 2020, clocking in at just 105 calories and a sessionable 4.5% ABV.

You're going to find it first available in Phoenix, Arizona, as an homage to its sunny name. It will be available from May 25-31. Then it'll hit shelves nationwide starting June 7 and hang around until Labor Day.

"We are very excited for people – both in Phoenix and across the country – to try what’s soon to be their new favorite beer of summer," Lara Krug, VP of Marketing at Stella Artois, said in a statement. "Stella Artois Solstice Lager delivers a little taste of sunshine in a bottle, turning any summertime moment into a special celebration, at a time where summer might not look like the usual."

Select retailers in Phoenix will be running a deal as well where locals who pick up a 12-pack will get a free six-pack, lovingly paid for by Stella. That free pack will come in the form of an online rebate. That's kind of a pain, but it's hard to argue with free beer.
