Stephen Colbert Catches Mustard Thief at RNC
All week The Late Show With Stephen Colbert has been broadcasting from Cleveland, Ohio at the Republican National Convention. It's been a strange series of broadcasts featuring some weird Hunger Games pranks, a reunion with Jon Stewart, and the return of the "other Stephen Colbert" (his character from The Colbert Report).
But one of the stranger things they've done so far was a live stream of the condiment table at the RNC. Over half a million people tuned it to The Late Show's Facebook page to watch Republican delegates soak their sausages in ketchup and relish. And, unsurprisingly, their cameras caught something a little out of the ordinary.
At one point a man approaches the table and begins to fill an empty water bottle full of mustard. Who is this mustard thief? Well, as it turns out, it was Fox News anchor Brett Baier hoarding mustard like a common mustard thief.
Hopefully, he was bringing that back to his booth for some food, because, after he gives a look around to see if anyone is watching, it looks a bit like he's about to take a drink from the bottle.
For his part, Baier was a good sport about the ribbing. Though he doesn't say if he dropped a Tic-Tac after that big gulp of mustard for the sake of his co-workers.
