The City with the Worst Thanksgiving Traffic Is...

Before the turkey, awkward discussion of your dating prospects, and having to watch the Lions lose, comes the drive. The Thanksgiving commute almost always sucks, but fortunately, Fortune (that was intentional) figured out which cities have the worst traffic this Turkey Day. And, well, just try to avoid LA, OK?
Fortune used data from Google android devices during last year's Thanksgiving rush, spanning from the Tuesday before to the Sunday after the holiday, and unsurprisingly, the mecca of terrible public transportation, Los Angeles, came out as the worst city in the country. No surprise there. No. 2 was Washington DC, another notable traffic haven, while another California city, San Francisco, claimed third. Here's the thing: when are any of these cities not terrible to drive in?
Most of the the typical big-hitters made Google's top 21, though it's worth noting Boston's horrible street set up still ranked relatively low on the list, coming in at number 17. In contrast, the straight up-and-down streets of New York City came in sixth.
Check out the complete list of the 21 worst cities for Thanksgiving traffic, and if you live in one of them, well, consider leaving right about now. Also, check out other Google stats on the holiday here. Some of them'll help you survive the madness.
