There's nothing fun about dozing off on the subway, bus, airplane, or other things that are not a comfy couch or a pepperoni pizza bed -- for several reasons. Besides jolting awake only to realize you've missed your stop, the most obvious reason is the discomfort and inevitable crick in your neck from being slumped against a window. But an innovative new hoodie for serial snoozers wants to change the way you sleep and rest on the go.
Known as the Hypnos Hoodie, the hoodie looks nearly identical to the ones in your closet, but with the brilliant addition of an inflatable pillow built into the freaking hood. As seen in the video above, the cushion in the hoodie is easy to inflate and was carefully designed to contour to your head for extra comfort, which all sounds great, seeing as you're probably already too damn tired to do much work. When you wake up, all you have to do is deflate the cushion, which the creators claim will hide discreetly in the hood's fabric.
Unsurprisingly, the sleepy geniuses at Hypnos have raised $120,000 on Kickstarter as of this writing, handily blowing away their campaign's $30,000 goal, with six days to go. Backers who have pledged at least $49 to the project will get their hands -- or heads -- on one of the hoodies sometime in March, and after that, they could retail from $59 to $99, depending on the style you choose. At this rate, you'll see people snoozing on trains and planes wearing these things in no time.
