While Demi Lovato made the hit song "Skyscraper," it appears that an actual skyscraper in Australia was inspired by another music superstar, and obviously, it's Beyoncé. Because, "who run the world?" Beyoncé.
The Beyoncé building, or what's officially titled the Premier Tower, is a 78-story skyscraper planned to rise above Melbourne, because somehow America isn't good enough for such a dazzling beacon of Bey. As seen in renderings (embedded below), the building features stunning curves and waves, which architecture firm Elenberg Fraser said were inspired by Beyoncé in her music video for “Ghost.”

"For those more on the art than science side, we will reveal that the form does pay homage to something more aesthetic – we’re going to trust you’ve seen the music video for Beyoncé’s Ghost," the firm said in a press release, eliciting a collective YAAAASSS heard around the world. So far, there's no indication that Beyoncé was involved with the building or will ever grace it with her physical presence, but we can dream.
Tony Merevick is Cities News Editor at Thrillist and hopes to someday say a massive skyscraper was inspired by his likeness, although it probably wouldn't be very pretty. Send news tips to firstname.lastname@example.org and follow him on Twitter @tonymerevick.
