Two things you can count on in the UK: soggy weather and dry senses of humor. Those two certainties collided Tuesday when a weather woman the the United Kingdom worked 12 Star Wars puns into her 40-second broadcast. That's a pun every 3.3 seconds, for the unitiated.
Channel 5 weather presenter Sian Welby kicks off her allusion-laden segment with, "If you Luke farther west, you'll see a glimmer of sunshine, if you're Wookiee," and wraps things up with, "Far, far away towards the southeast of England, there's a new hope for some sunshine developing in the afternoon." But in between, she drops 10 more references to the topical movie series.
See if you can pick up on all of 'em.
