Wendy's Is Giving Out Free Spicy Chicken Sandwiches for the Next Few Weeks
Throughout most of May, you're snagging a free sandwich with your order.

Wendy's has been trotting out a parade of menu items that can be snagged for free with a purchase through its app. That will continue in May with an offer for a free Spicy Chicken Sandwich.
If you hop into the Wendy's mobile app, under the "Offers" section, you'll find a deal for a free Spicy Chicken Sandwich with any purchase. That means you could grab a drink or fries and drive off with a chicken sandwich in your bag. (Drive off, because dining rooms are closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.) This offer can be redeemed once a week until the end of the promotion on May 23.
Inside the app, you'd normally find a slew other similar freebies. However, they're all ending on May 3. The only one that will be available beyond that date is a free coffee with any purchase. That deal expires on May 4.
If you're looking for a hamburger among those deals, however, a spokesperson said that might not be on the menu for a while after the chain pulled its free Dave's Single offer early. "There have been challenges among protein suppliers across North America," the spokesperson told Thrillist. "Because of this, some of Wendy’s menu items may be in short supply from time to time, therefore, we’ve adjusted our mobile offers to minimize the impact to our customers and our restaurant teams."
The company hasn't responded to an inquiry about whether there are concerns about a chicken shortage, but, with the launch of this deal (and a similar one over the weekend through the mobile delivery app Postmates), it doesn't appear that there's as much concern about a chicken shortage. So, eat up.
