"Just ordering a pizza and calling it a night" is one of the laziest of all ventures. But now the process of getting a greasy pie sent straight to your door while you sit in your sweatpants is getting easier than ever. Enter, the Domino's "Easy Order" pizza button.
Domino's UK just released what it calls the "must-have ‘connected tech’ gadget for the modern home." It's a mini pizza box holding a singular button. Push the button, and pizza comes.
The button is powered by FLIC and connects to an app that processes your order to get that meatlover's goodness into your awaiting hands. It's like the Staples Easy Button, but instead of solving workplace complexities, it brings you delicious pizza. And if you think about it, that could probably solve a lot of your inter-office troubles. There's also a virtual version of the button that allows you to order pizza with a one-touch payment system via smartphone. But, that's clearly not as fun as pressing a physical button.
So, want one of these button boxes? Well, you can't have one, unless you live in the United Kingdom. Also, even if you do live in the UK, Domino's is only giving them away to "super fans" through an upcoming competition. There's not much out yet on the details, but the specifics are promised to come in December. However, the virtual, one-touch payment option should be available to everyone in the UK on the Domino's UK website, so at least there's that.
As for all of us in the United States, it's still good to know that this kind of technology is out there. Now the world just needs sex robots to complete this heaven on earth.
