Now Boba Fett's Body Armor Is a Real Thing
To be honest, Boba Fett footie pajamas are pretty badass. But if you're trying to look like an actual badass, well, footie pajamas are not the way. Thankfully, someone invented real-life armor that gets you most of the way there -- though you're likely still a Star Wars dork under that veneer.
AR500 Armor, a ballistic body armor manufacturer, teamed up with Ryan Flowers of Galac-Tac, a designer with a self-proclaimed, "love for the Fett and modern military," to create a set of body armor that looks exactly like the one worn by great galactic bounty hunter, Boba Fett. The collaboration elicited help from a few other manufacturers as well, like Heckler & Koch, making this a high-quality and certainly one-of-a-kind product.
AR500 Armor shared plenty of photos of the suit on its Facebook page, and promised the armor is making its public debut at SHOT 2016, an expo put on by the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
Check out more photos of the armor in the Facebook post below. But, keep in mind there's no word yet on whether the armor is going on sale to the public. So, the idea of running around in your professional Star Wars garb at your next amateur airsoft tournament still remains nothing but a geeky dream.
