Two of life’s greatest pleasures are now combined into one glorious snack. Prosecco cheese exists—and it’s pink, to boot.
The Great British Cheese company is living up to its name by releasing a Prosecco- and raspberry-flavored wheel of Wensleydale. Wrapped in bright magenta wax, the cheese inside is pure, edible millennial pink. It’s currently available for 4.50 pounds (about $6) on the company’s website, where you can also find Whisky Mac Cheddar (flavored with whisky and ginger), Drunken Monk Cheddar (made with caramelized onion and red wine) and Hoppy Days Cheddar (made with stout porter and whole grain mustard).
Sadly, the pretty-in-pink cheese is only available in the U.K. But the Great British Cheese company is certainly not the first company to infuse their cheese with booze (though, to our knowledge, they are the first to make a pink, fizz-infused cheese). In 2016, Germany-based supermarket Aldi sold both a Piña Colada-flavored cheese and a Tequila Lime cheese. So keep your eyes peeled the next time you’re strolling through the dairy aisle. The spirited cheese you find might not be pink, but the world will definitely look a whole lot rosier after you have a couple of slices—especially if you pair your snack with your own personal bottle of Prosecco.
