Rihanna Is Launching a Wine Brand
Whether she’s sneaking bedazzled flasks into the Grammys or stealing wine glasses out of restaurants to enjoy vino on the go, Rihanna is a drinking idol. And soon fans might be able to channel Rihanna as their spirit animal even more by drinking her rumored new wine brand.
Eagle-eyed Rihanna fans noticed that the singer recently filed a trademark application for a skincare line called House of Fenty, having just launched her own makeup line Fenty Beauty earlier this September. But as much as we love the idea of having our skin shine bright like a diamond, her other trademark has us far more interested: Fenty Estates Wine and Spirit Company.
The trademark is listed regarding both distilled spirits and wine, which means that a whole collection of Rihanna booze could be on the way. After all, she’s made her love for sipping hard liquor like Jameson known in many of her songs. Hopefully that means we’ll soon see a Rihanna whiskey—to rival her former lover Drake’s Virginia Black brand—or rum from her home country of Barbados.
Of course, filing a trademark isn’t a guarantee that she’ll actually produce the product. Rihanna could simply be safeguarding the Fenty name from others, or reserving it in case she ever wants to enter the wine and spirits field later. We’re choosing to be optimistic, envisioning a world where people could pour up Fenty red wine while treating themselves to a Fenty skincare spa day, all while listening to “ANTI” on repeat.
