Saturday Night Live Now Has Its Own Wine

Live from vineyards in California, Australia and the Beaujolais region of Burgundy, it’s Saturday Night wine! As of 12 p.m. Eastern time on November 29, people can buy Saturday Night Live wines inspired by Debbie Downer, The Californians, Stefon and the instantly recognizable opening phrase “Live from New York.”

The wines, according to Entertainment Weekly, are exclusively available on the online wine retail shop Lot18. While there aren’t any local wines from the Ohio River Valley, the selections are all worthy of a wine expert like Sebastian Peppington Smythe.

The Debbie Downer, which hails from Australia, is described by Lot18 as having “a flavor profile that’s bursting with delightful citrus and orchard fruit” that “just may be the ray of sunshine that actually perks up Debbie.” The Californians is a Merlot from Monterey County California, and the Stefon Beaujolais is a “good-time red” that promises “a bizarrely awesome time.” The namesake Live from New York It’s Saturday Night is a California red blend of Merlot, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah.

Lot18 is selling Stefon Beaujolais for $18 a bottle, and the rest for $20 a bottle. The retailer also sells wine inspired by The Walking Dead, The Bachelor, Outlander and others. There’s no better way to toast more than 40 years of SNL than with a glass or four of SNL wine on Saturday night.
