New Year's resolution #1: Strive to be more forgiving. Resolution #2: Stick it to those smug city employees by giving them the comeuppance they so richly deserve. Get your vigilante on at UncivilServants.org.
Using crowdsourced photography, US exposes workers who abuse agency permits to commandeer No Parking zones -- like busting gangsters for tax fraud, because even Eliot Ness couldn't make "languid rudeness" stick in court. Besides a damning photo, each post lists permit type, street signage, and offending agency, accompanied by a reader description of vehicular wrongdoings, from the impressed-yet-condescending ("Valiant Attempt to Hide Expired Permit Behind DMV Slip") to the rhetorically-nonplussed ("If I park in front of a door AND a fire hydrant will anyone care? YES."). US also schools you on identifying legal permits and provides a handy reference chart, allowing you to casually stroll around the city like the anal super-citizen you are.
US has now captured 635 incidents of malfeasance; the NYPD leads the pack with 280, and even the "clergy" has gotten in on the act -- because while forgiveness might be godly, busting a priest down to altar boy is divine.
