See what's coming your way January 21st by watching this vid:

Introducing a comedy series about a city where quirky individualism is as prevalent as bicycles are in China: Portlandia, an only slightly loopier version of that magical place where bicycles are also very prevalent, coming to IFC Fridays at 10:30/9:30c, starting January 21. Created by and starring SNL's Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein of Sleater-Kinney and punk rock supergroup Wild Flag, the show imagines a Rip City where organic farmers are also cult leaders, adult hide-and-seek leagues thrive, and attaching cut-outs of birds to everything in town is considered the height of artistic expression.

The constellation of guest stars runs from Kyle MacLachlan as the Mayor (who of course also rides around on a bike), to the lovely Heather Graham, to director Gus Van Sant, to musicians like The Shins' James Mercer, Jerry Conlee & Colin Meloy of The Decemberists, and Aimee Mann -- who in this case doesn't expect you to hush, hush, because how could you possibly stifle all those chuckles, chortles, guffaws, and various other forms of laughter?
