Ready for a political thriller -- and not the kind that features zombie senators in highly choreographed dances? Then check out the above sneak peek of The Ides of March, a thriller tautly walking the line between primaries and loyalties, in theaters Oct 7th.
The film follows presidential candidate Governor Mike Morris (Clooney) and his idealistic (but also ambitious) press secretary played by Ryan Gosling, who quickly learns that the campaign trail is even more arduous than Oregon Trail ("Press SPACE BAR to continue your run for high office!"). In the final days of a heavily contested Ohio primary, Gosling is forced to question his own morals and motivations when he’s recruited by the competition. The Clooney-directed film also stars Paul Giamatti, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Marisa Tomei, and Evan Rachel Wood -- if that cast isn't enough to reel you in, well, Good Night, and Good Luck.
