Collapsible shades that're ready for everything

They say a fresh pair of eyes can bring perspective, though if those eyes have been staring at the sun all day, they're just going to bring a ton of tiny white dots. Bringing new perspective to peeper-protecting eyewear, the dude who revived Sunpocket.

After 20+ years of "beauty sleep", this defunct French shades brand has been relaunched by a young Swede who stumbled across a pair his dad rocked in the '80s, when they were all the rage "among adventurous sportsmen and women, as well as the cool yuppies" (apparently wearing running shoes with skirt suits doesn't count as sporty). Boasting lightweight acetate frames set with special hinges to permit collapsing, these polycarbonate-lensed jobs come in two models: the "classic", ovate-lensed Sunpocket II, with its straight sweatbar and rounded temples, and the larger-lensed Sport, which features pointed temples and a lowered bridge, but again, no running shoes with skirt suits. Not sporty. Colorwise there're 16 frame options (tortoise, turquoise, shiny white, vanilla...) to be paired with one of three different mirrored lenses -- shimmering blue, granite, and "oily", which hopefully isn't coordinated with your T-zone.

To keep 'em protected during travel, each pair's folded form fits into a special hard case, which doctors certainly won't say when diagnosing you after going blind from staring at the sun all day.
