16 craft brews and tater tot nachos

Finally giving you a reason to go to Whole Foods other than girls in yoga pants, Steep Brew's a new downstairs drinkery stashed under the Potrero Hill WF, where girls in yoga pants'll get parking-lot-real with flatscreen TVs, leather smoking chairs, and decidedly more ale than kale. Get ready to:

Drink: Their hardwood-paneled bar's rotating 16 craft drafts, including hyper-locals like Pac Brew Lab’s Squid Ink, Magnolia's Proving Ground IPA, and Lagunitas' WTF Brown Ale, plus refrigerating harder-to-find-in-SF bottles of Augustiner German Pils, Green Flash’s Rayon Vert, Russian River Brewing’s Pliny the Elder, and a Triple from Piraat, a brewer responsible for arrrrguably the best Belgians in the world worst pun ever written.

Eat: Start off with a classy cheese board, or a not-so-classy plate of tachos (which're nachos, but made with tater tots), then settle in for mains like pork sliders, pizzas ranging from traditional cheese to truffle/arugula or potato/pancetta, and an extra-cheesy mac made with Swiss, cheddar, provolone, and Jack, once it stops repeatedly telling you to go back to the island.

Drink Some More: In case you can't decide between their 16 taps, SB also offers beer flights -- four 4oz pours for $7, three 8oz pours for $14 -- or if you buy a beer upstairs, you can pay a $1 "corkage" fee and they'll let you drink it downstairs, which's where yoga pants girl could end up if she'd just misunderstand the exact meaning of "smoking chair".
