Music in the fans' hands

If you don't think putting the people in charge of music is a good idea, 1995 People's Choice Awards winners Hootie & The Blowfish would like a catchy, laid-back, country-inflected word with you. And while they do, OurLabel will continue to give musical power to the people.

Homegrown OurLabel enables fans to discover new artists, promote the ones they dig, and even have a stake in their success, meaning that getting Behind The Music no longer requires a crippling drug addiction/having your bassist abscond with all of the song credits. Browse artists & listen to tracks in genres ranging from hardcore to hip-hop, or, if that sounds like too much work, Facebook sync it to be recommended songs based on whatever obscure artists you've forgotten that you "Liked" on FB to look cool. If you find anyone you'd like to see make a new demo/LP/EP, donate using the site's Kickstarter-esque model, and reap rewards ranging from digital downloads and ltd-ed merch, to access to VIP parties and producer's credit, because Zero Mostel died, like, 30yrs ago, so he certainly doesn't need it any more.

You can also further your rewards by dutifully promoting the artists you back on Facebook, Twitter, and the like, letting those tortured musicians know you're gonna love them, the best that, the best that you caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.
