Because having to drink AM coffees and beers is seriously cutting into your productivity, head to Cerveceria de MateVeza, where you can get caffeinated beer starting tomorrow. Located at the NW corner of Dolores Park, this new brewpub-cum-beer-mart'll dispense MateVeza's pick-me-up suds inside a Gone With The Wind-ish interior w/ large, bench-equipped bay windows, a wall of six-pack-stuffed fridges, a giant meant-for-a-mansion chandelier, and a sizable high-top table mounted on bannisters -- so expect to see a few good screws.
From behind their wood-topped, patina'd steel bar, they'll pour seven drafts, anchored by three signatures brewed with South American yerba mate tea that naturally caffeinates the brew. The other four taps'll host guest beers (Magnolia's Saison de Lily, Marin's Choc Airporter, Moonlight's Bombay by Boat, MV's Beerworks), two of which'll eventually be replaced w/ MateVeza brews made on-site (w/ a 20-gal system in the corner), presumably because the guest beers won't stop using up all the hot water. They'll also have over 100 different bottles, just a few of which include Scrimshaw, Allagash Curieux (11% ABV!), Marin Brewing Mt. Tam IPA, Horny Devil, Stone Self Righteous, and ESB by Bitch Creek, or the working title of the show, until they decided to just use Dawson.
Oh, and there's food too: hot empanadas from El Porteno, which you'll soon be able to enjoy on an outdoor patio with furniture, which, like the adequately screwed bannister, they'll probably be nailing, on the sidewalk.
Cerveceria de MateVeza offers a rotating selection of guest beers on tap, plus nearly 100 more of the bottled variety. And should you feel the need for some comida con su cerveza, they also serve a number of delicious empanadas.
