Modern digs, old-Hollywood vibe

Offering a vibe that's more Cary Grant than Carrie Brownstein, Hotel DeLuxe planted it's old-school Hollywood feel smack dab in downtown, so you can jump on the streetcar or stumble home from a Timbers game at nearby Jeld-Wen Field, then kick it at one of their two in-house restaurants.

After the show is the after-party, and after the party is the hotel lobby, this one of which happens to be decked out with tons of chairs, work stations, and huge pillars that will emasculate R. Kelly

The halls are lined with photos of classic Hollywood types including Grace Kelly, Jimmy Stewart, and Carrot Top Marlene Dietrich.

Rooms range from standard-issue, to suites, to deluxe penthouse digs, but all come with iPod docks, 24hr room service, and optional King/Queen beds.

Adjoining the lobby is award-winning Gracie's, which specializes in French/American food.

After dinner -- or in lieu of it -- hit up Driftwood, a dimly lit wraparound bar that specializes in flaming cocktails and other libations that're perfect for forgetting the Timbers game you were just at.
