Rooftop pools and Oz-themed lounges in the Theatre District

Situated a stone's throw from Boston Common in the heart of the Theater District, this sleekly designed, 356-room boutique housed in a former much-less-sleekly-designed Radisson is the Hub's newest hotel, and houses a trendy lounge, a massive theater, and one of the city's scant few rooftop pools. The lobby is chic and tres mod, as the kids say in France, and it even looks like there was a sweet deal on Italian marble at the Watertown Home Depot when they designed it!Described as "the epitome of livable glamour", guest rooms boast hardwood entries, skyline-soaking balconies, gratis Wi-Fi, and not one but two sets of Frette robes and slippers -- one for you, and one to cover the shame of the robe that's touching your naked skin.Perhaps you'd prefer a second balcony, in which case the King Suite (w/ JBL iPad speaker system and complimentary skoah bath products) would be more to your liking. You might have noticed the facade to to their popular Oz-themed Emerald Lounge on the way in......well, welcome inside. And yes, that's an awesome stainless sculpture of a tornado anchoring the room.Assuming you didn't close down Emerald the night before, you may want to start your day in their 24-hour fitness center. Up to you. No pressure. Oh, and if you visit often enough though, they'll even let you leave your gym clothes. Ewww....As previously mentioned, Boston has very few roof-deck pools. This is one of them. And it's heated. Not just a hotel. Not just a lounge. This is Theater 1, The Revere's totally rentable luxe-level 225-seat theater. Perhaps a private screening of Save the Last Dance?
