You can't get toasted at Toast, but you can enjoy the buzz you'll get from eating eggs with famous people. Sure, this West 3rd institution has an ever-present line, but, if you’re into that scene, it’s worth a sidewalk wait. Once inside, nab the likes of fat-pressed sandos, like the “Not Your Mom’s Grilled Cheese” that comes stuffed with multiple types of fancy fromage, hefty omelettes filled with fixin’s like sun-dried tomatoes and lox, and monster salads of all kinds. A seat on the patio is the place to be seen -- unless, of course, you’re sitting by someone more famous or better-looking than you. So you better pray that Ed Begley Jr. made other brunch plans.
