Alfie’s can be characterized as small, funky, bright, loud, and delicious. Straight up Georgia Ave in Columbia Heights, Alfie’s is the result of Chef Alex McCoy's multiple trips to Thailand. He works to recreate that feel, while hewing to Northeastern Thai street foods -- we’re talking khao soi noodles, gai yang grilled chicken, and minced duck laab. Unapologetically spicy and sour, funky and sweet, these dishes are as close as you’ll find in DC to a what you’d get at a Thai traveler bar.
