If You Like Basil, You'll Love The Basilico Cocktail
DrinksMadeEasy's Basilico cocktail is chock full of it's Italian namesake, basil. Made with basil, strawberries, citron vodka, and homemade apple and peach liqueur, this easy, fresh cocktail packs a lot of flavor.
The Basilico Cocktail
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 oz citron vodka
- 1 oz peach liqueur
- 1 oz apple liqueur
- 3 oz simple syrup
- 1 oz lime juice
- strawberries (2 for garnish)
- basil leaves
- 1 ripe peach
- 1 ripe apple
DIRECTIONS:
- To make your peach and apple liqueurs chop each into pieces and place in a mason jar. Fill the jars with 1 oz of simple syrup each, and then vodka. Let it infuse for at least a day. When ready, strain through a fine strainer into another jar for storage.
- To make the cocktail, muddle two strawberries and your basil leaves in a mixing glass. Next add citron vodka, peach and apple liqueurs, simple syrup, and lime juice.
- Shake in a shaker full of ice and pour un-strained directly into your glass. Garnish with a few leaves of basil and a strawberry.
