Food & Drink
Columbia Firehouse

Brick walled and iron beamed, this 120-seat dining den occupies a century-old building previously occupied by an Alexandria fire station, and serves up everything from "snacks" like Cornmeal Crusted Oysters and Blue Crab Hushpuppies, to "supper options" like Chesapeake Watermen's Stew and Grilled Pork Chops. Specialty cocktails fear neither poison nor pun, with the Maker's/SoCo/cherry brandy "Robert E. Lee Roy", the applejack brandy/Wild Turkey Honey/sparkling cider "Siggy's Wobbly Ladder", and the Manischewitz/lemon/mint "George Washington Schlepped Here", which could refer to lots of places, as he spent many nights away from Oy, VA.
