There are so many new smartphone apps out there that trying to find the best new ones can make you feel... um, the opposite-of-smart, so we decided to shower you with April's sweetest drops, including an app that'll match you with the perfect tequila, and the app that remembers where you parked, the latter of which should definitely not be used after an evening spent using the former.
Despite being named for what probably isn't the best time of day to use it, the 1AM Mobile app helps you find the latest/greatest street art -- from giant murals to out-of-the-way graffiti-strewn alleys -- in your 'hood, and lets you share photos of (and info about) previously undiscovered pieces, provided you took 'em sometime closer to 1pm, otherwise they'll probably suck.
All the info, and a shton of additional street art examples, are right here
Sure, your old laptop makes a great coaster, but it could also make you a few dollars if you upload a few photos/a description to Sold, then sit back while the app uses "advanced pricing analytics" (that presumably go beyond sticking a .98 at the end) to sell it for you, sends you a pre-paid, pre-labeled box, schedules a pick-up, and finally sends you the cash. Oh, and if you're still sold on laptops-as-coasters, you can use the app to sling anything that'll fit in one of their boxes.
Download this sucka with your new iPhone so you can finally get rid of your old iPhone!
This apps got a database of the worlds best tequilas, alerts about tastings and other agave-based events in your 'hood, and lets you see what South-of-the-Border spirits other people are into, but the core of TM is a proprietary matching algorithm that uses nine different characteristics to find you the perfect tequila with witch to drown your sorrows when every single app that uses proprietary algorithms to match you with women fails to find you a date.
This app will totally hook you up... with TEQUILA!
Getting up and looking out a window sucks, yo! So use YoWindow, a solid weather app that incudes up to the minute climate conditions, a weekly forecast, and a virtual window that uses location specific animation to show the actual weather wherever you, and changes over time when you swipe your finger across the screen.
It's so much easier to just click here than it is to actually go outside... so do it already!
GPS stands for Gary Payton... um, something, presumably, and somehow makes ParkSafe the first app to automatically remember where/when you parked your car without you doing a thing. Though if you really want to enter something, you can sent an alarm to remind you when your parking meter will run out, or just enter enough money in the first place.
See exactly how it work, then download ParkSafe, here
