Think you don't need a smartwatch if you have a smartphone? Samsung is here to try and prove you wrong. The Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch, retailing for $300 in October, takes many of the standard Galaxy features — text alerts, video capabilities, music library — and places it inside a sleek aluminum and rubber watch (that frankly looks a little like the Cartier Santos). Samsung claims that by October the Smartwatch will have over 70 apps, all of which can be accessed without having to dig into your pocket for your phone. Think of it as your phone's satellite office, located on your wrist.
