A communal project of sorts spearheaded by Gorden Wagener, the Vice President of Designer at Daimler AG, the team over at Mercedes-Benz called for submissions from golf and automobile enthusiasts around the world. They then built up from the basis provided by those ideas and concepts, overlaying their "sensual-purity" philosophy, and unveiled the final design at the Open Championships last weekend. The electric-driven, battery-powered supercaddy will keep continually charged by a roofside solar module and is steered via joystick, which shares the center console with touchscreen monitors and a fore button that communicates with other golf carts in the area, a la raptors in Jurassic Park. All of these features are sturdied with a double wishbone suspension, which will make the rough not-so-much. Needless to say, we're quite excited to see our fleet of battle-ready off-road vehicles expand.
