Put the "reality" back in virtual reality gaming

Immersive virtual reality gaming has finally arrived, and it’s ready for your pre-order. Oculus Rift, virtual reality eyewear available this coming November, has already been making waves for well over a year, hell-bent on revolutionizing the industry. But it wasnt' until treadmill gaming platform Virtuix Omni came onto the scene that the virtual reality gaming experience was truly immersive. I mean, you can now actually run at enemy forces on your first person shooter, or run away from zombies in post-apocalyptic scenarios, all the while actually taking aim, shooting at them with your gun. Launched in June, Omni's Kickstarter campaign has already shattered — and we mean SHATTERED its $150,000 goal with over $1,000,000 in funding. Shipping is set for March of next year, so you better start pre-explaining why your girlfriend doesn't get that love seat she wants.
