You know those nights when you don't really need to uncork an entire bottle of wine, but you still wouldn't mind a glass? Yeah, we don't either. But for those of you who do, the fine folks over at Corvain would like to have a word with you.
France's Fête des Lumières Is a Light Festival Unlike Anything You've Ever Seen
The innovative system allows you to pour single glasses of vino from any bottle without ever popping the cork, thus fully preserving it alongside all the unopened ones in your collection for months and months, or whenever you feel like going back for another glass.
Here's how it works: the gizmo fastens to the neck of the bottle and shoots a thin, hollow needle down through the cork, pressurizingng the chamber with argon with special refillable cartridges. Once it's been fully pressurized, the wine inside easily flows through the needle and into your glass.
When you've you cut yourself off, simply detach the device, pulling out the needle, and the cork will actually reseal itself so you don't have to worry about spoiling the remaining vino, as it'll never be exposed to oxygen.
