The G-Class Cabriolet (Convertible), has been a staple of the Mercedes-Benz line for nearly 40 years and will go down in history as one of its longest running models. While there will still be a G-Class, it's the Cabriolet that Mercedes is signing off with a "Final Edition." Only 200 have been produced for the model's goodbye. It's still the stylish, boxy design that has made it so timeless in a retro, mid-century kind of way—but the "Final Edition" doesn't go light on modern amenities with 388 horsepower, a 5.5 liter V8 engine, and 398 lb-ft of torque. The "Final Edition" keeps the classic black exterior and has a complementary beige leather interior to match its soft top. We do have to wonder, though, why mess with a good thing? Let alone discontinue it? We smell a comeback.
