With the proliferation of blogs, tickers, satellite TV, newsies, e-blasts from the Gav's office, etc, there are a million distractions preventing you from efficiently indulging your ADD. Focus your scatterbrain, at P0pulist.
Based in SF, P0p's an aggregator of terrifyingly eclectic tidbits that fuses the limitless random of Digg with the fast-moving pleasures of wack-a-mole.
How it works: users post on whatever subject they want, from local brewpubs to pics of a new Ferrari to Norwegian artists to obscure newspaper articles ("Monkeys Control Robots with Their Minds") to cold-filtered undergarments (MGD boxers); the titles of all of these are placed in colored boxes that whiz across your screen.
When a subject catches your eye, try to click it to get the author's take (or, if he's lazy, a link to Wikipedia, Amazon, etc); you'll then know whether to hit up the user for more delectable factoids, or go back to the frantic drawing board because some all-seeing oracle counsels you to watch Prison Break.
Soon, P0p'll roll out a feature that'll credit the the most popular authors, allowing you to follow an easy-to-track group of super-users, provided you're not distracted by something shiny.
