PhillyTapFinder

Finding something you've been searching for can be a wondrous feeling, especially when you discover Forrester is Sean Connery, and not some silly Subaru. Providing endless liquid wonder by finding your favorite beers around town: PhillyTapFinder

PTF's a just-launched site giving you the lowdown on exactly which craft/micro tap beers're available where, created by two local attorneys looking to birth a service beer aficionados could use to track down whatever suds they wanted, and presumably, be forced give them a call at their day jobs. You can search multiple ways: by beer name, which returns a list of bars and whether they stock it in keg, firkin, or cask; by bar, netting their entire tap list; by 'hood; by characteristic, which pulls terms like "light" or "hoppy" from individual beer descriptions; and by beer type, which allows you to find out where you can get everything from Scotch Ales/Wee Heavies to Helles/Kellers, irresponsible use of which'll leave you in the dark. The esteemed counselors' homework is augmented by Tap Tips, or reader-submitted updates; should a bar's list differ from PTF's, shoot them a text or email with what's replaced what to earn one "point" -- five gets you a bottle opener, 30 gets you a PTF shirt, and 100,000 presumably means a Pee-Wee Herman Pez dispenser or a barrel of those plastic monkeys whose arms link together...what fun

If you happen to have one of these intelligent phones, PTF looks and functions perfectly on modern mobile browsers, so even on the move you can find the most wondrous thing of them all: an excuse to play with your phone instead of listening to Sean Connery talk about books.
