Taking over the former Django spot, D's features a slew of dishes inspired by the owner's Nigerian heritage, including Jollof rice or beans in an onion-/tomato-/pepper-based sauce w/ fried plantains and choice of meat; cubed yam cooked in tomato & pepper-based sauce w/ crayfish and traditional herbs & spices; a range of meaty stews, from the okra & ground mango seed Ogbono to the Efo Elegusi, made with spinach and ground melon seed; and specialty entrees like traditionally spiced whole tilapia, and a combo meat/pepper-based "designer stew" -- cheap out, and you'll just look soup-id.
