Banana Rum Smoothie

A banana smoothie is a perfectly decent on-the-go breakfast. But add a little rum to the mix and you have yourself an icy, creamy cocktail that is made for poolside sipping—or slurping down next to a baby pool filled with a hose. We don’t judge. Made with dark rum (go for something very dark and rich like Goslings or Plantation’s OFTD), ripe banana and honey, it’s so good you’ll have to stop yourself from drinking down the entire blenderful, which can fill about four glasses.

If you are up for adding a few more ingredients, try splitting the base between white rum and dark rum, pouring in a splash of simple syrup and tossing in some lime juice. Then you’ll have a true Banana Daiquiri. If that seems like way too much effort, though, this drink will certainly satisfy any banana-rum cravings with very little effort.
