Honey Nut Cheerio-Infused Rum

Infusing Honey Nut Cheerios into dark rum is the glorious invention of Laura Bellucci at SoBou in New Orleans. The sweet rum goes into her Honey Buzz Milk Punch, but it would work equally well in any cereal milk cocktails you might mix up.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
  • 1 750-mL bottle dark rum

INSTRUCTIONS

Step one

Add cereal to rum and let sit for 2-3 days.

Step two

Strain through a fine mesh strainer and store at room temp until ready to use.
