Boozy Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Put an extra-seasonal twist on spiked hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps and peppermint whipped cream. It's a steaming mugful of chocolaty, pepperminty fun—perfect for warming up after a long day of sledding or heating up a holiday party.



  • 2 oz peppermint schnapps
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 4 oz milk
  • 1.5 tbsp sugar
  • Peppermint whipped cream
  • 5-6 candy canes, crushed, for garnish


Step one

Place wax paper over candy canes and crush with a mallet, then set aside.

Step two

Add milk, cocoa and sugar to a saucepan over medium heat. 

Step three

Stir until cocoa and sugar are dissolved, and mixture is warm. Do not let it simmer.

Step four

Add peppermint schnapps to a mug, and top with hot cocoa.

Step five

Garnish with peppermint whipped cream, and sprinkle with crushed candy canes.
