Though sloe gin isn’t a common base spirit in cocktails beyond the Sloe Gin Fizz, it makes a worthy appearance in this elegant drink. Combined with gin, lemon juice and a touch of grenadine, it’s full of flavor and not so potent that it will eclipse your judgement. Make sure to get a bottle of high-quality sloe gin that’s made without any of the artificial stuff.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 oz sloe gin
  • .75 oz gin
  • .5 oz lemon juice
  • grenadine

INSTRUCTIONS

Step one

Add all ingredients to a shaker filled with ice.

Step two

Shake and strain into a coupe glass.
