Created by bartender Jamie Jennings of Hodges Bend in Tulsa, Oklahoma, it balances the bitters with equal parts gin, lemon juice and simple syrup, plus a pinch of salt. It’s a completely revolutionary take on the classic sour that will have you running low on bitters in no time.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 oz Celery Bitters
  • 1 oz Gin
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice
  • 1 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Basil

INSTRUCTIONS

Step one

Add all ingredients, save for the garnish, to a shaker and fill with ice.

Step two

Shake and strain into a coupe glass.

Step three

Garnish with basil leaf.
