This smoky salt is for barbecue lovers only. Sweet blueberries and a touch of Liquid Smoke turn sea salt into a flame-broiled garnish worthy of epic cookouts and marathon pork roasts.

Smoked Blueberry Salt

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 tbsp Sea salt
  • 1 tbsp freeze dried blueberries
  • 1 drop Liquid Smoke

INSTRUCTIONS

Step one

Add the salt and blueberries to a mortar and grind with a pestle until you reach a uniform consistency. Alternatively, mix the ingredients in a small food processor.

Step two

Add a drop of liquid smoke and stir to combine.

Step three

Cover loosely with a paper towel and dry at room temperature for 24 hours. Stir mixture every few hours to keep it flaky.

Step four

Store in an airtight container.
