The Piney Elder

The first-century Roman author Pliny the Elder was known for his work in botany, including the first written reference to lupus salictarius, known today as hops. Inspired in part by Russian River Brewing Company's ode to the naturalist, the award-winning Pliney the Elder IPA, this cocktail mixes hoppy IPA with the herbaceous broVo Amaro No. 4, Luxardo Bitter and gin. The resulting cocktail is a fresh taste of nature befitting the honorable botanist.
