Matcha Syrup

Shaking matcha green tea straight into a drink is a shortcut to a chunky cocktail. Instead, make this matcha simple syrup to incorporate the bitter tea into a cocktail.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Bar Spoons matcha powder
  • 1 Cup water
  • 1 Cup sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

Step one

Add water, sugar and matcha to a saucepan over medium heat.

Step two

Whisk with a matcha whisk until matcha and sugar are incorporated, and no lumps remain. 

Step three

Remove from heat, cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
